The Hennequin Painting Shop

On Clichy Avenue (Clichy avenue), close enough to the Montmartre, you can meet this wall mosaic. It is the 1830Shop with Paint and PaintingofHennequin. Hennequin's colors are now found in almost all the famous museums of the world. From him all the famous painters of the time were supplied with colors. His regular clients, sometimes close friends, were Édouard Manet, Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, Henri Fantin-Latour, Frédéric Bazille, Alfred Sisley, Jean-Louis Forain, Paul Cézanne and Vincent van Gogh. All these famous artists today were in the next-door coffee, atCafé Guerbois . Somewhere there, through their conversations and the exchange of ideas, Impressionism was born. As Renoir once said: " One day, one of us who did not have black color, used the blue. Impressionism was born. » Unfortunately, the Hennequin Painting and Painting shop no longer exists, but the mosaic remains there.
