Paris 13_The Chinatown

The 13th arrondissement is mostly known for its large Asian market. This area of the city refers more to Bejing than to Paris. There you will find many restaurants with ethnic cuisine, many shops  and excellent prices.

The northern part of the apartment is clearly more classic and includes, among other things, important institutes such as François Mitterrand’s ultramodern complex Of the National Library of France .

What to do in Paris 13 ? 🤷‍♂️

La Bibliothèque Nationale de France – Site François Mitterrand, quai François Mauriac (Métro 6: Quai de la Gare). The French National Library (François Mitterrand) is contained in a huge complex of imposing towers in a symmetrical arrangement. It is considered to be one of the best libraries in the world and includes a large number of historical manuscripts, among them and 5000 Greek manuscripts.

La Butte aux Cailles. It is an extremely picturesque part of the apartment surrounded by colors and liveliness. Ideal place for coffee and food.

Manufacture des Gobelins, Boulevard Saint-Marcel (Métro 7: Les Gobelins). It is the former royal spinning plant in France that has been operating since 1601. Nowadays, a section of the building has been turned into a museum.
