This is one of the most frequently asked questions when it comes to picking your Disney hotel. Both hotels offer very similar services, in similar prices. Which is best?
Cheyenne is a cowboy-themed budget hotel. We like the saloon-style decoration, the facades of the buildings, and the rooms. To our eyes, it is what we call a budget, value for money hotel. The hotel services are basic (no pool, no air-conditioning in the rooms) but breakfast is correct.
The hotel is situated within a walking distance of around 15 minutes from Disneyland parks. And the transportation from and to Disneyland parks is free and all day long (approximatively every 15 mins).
Cheyenne hotel has a rating of 4.2/5 in Google ratings and room rates depend on the season but it is between 260€ and 350€ for a double-bed room.
Hotel Sante Fe
Sante Fe is also a budget hotel and its theme is inspired by the Disney movie Cars (2006) and the pueblo style, painted in warm colors. The rooms are simple and clean. The hotel services are basic, there is no pool or a/c in the room.
The hotel is situated within a walking distance of around 15-20 minutes from Disney Village and the parks. If you don’t want to walk, transportation to Disneyland parks is free.
Sante Fe has a rating of 4.1/5 in Google rating and room rates are between 230€ and 290€.
Hotel Cheyenne or Sante Fe? The Verdict
It is not easy to choose between these two hotels, but our vote goes to Cheyenne. The decoration, the theme, and the rooms are really well made and the whole experience is amazing. Besides that, both hotels are pretty similar.
If you have a tight budget (first read our article about Disneyland on a tight budget), then don’t think too much and go for Santa Fe. It’s also a nice alternative.
